Poor, coastal people suffer from acute health hazards for ages. This is reflected in the high IMR and MMR in the area. This trend is an outcome of their poverty, low social status, lack of awareness, lack of access to health care.
Education is the doorway to the wider world and an exposition on rural infrastructure is incomplete without an assessment of the extent to which we have been able to open this door for the children of the rural. Education leads to an increase in the overall standard of living.
